q.beyond AG, a full-stack IT service provider, faced the challenge of monitoring a massive and wide-ranging IT infrastructure for their clients. Their previous monitoring setup was pushed to its limits by a new, scalable platform, requiring a solution with superior performance, multi-tenancy, and excellent scalability to manage the vast number of objects across their customer base.

The solution was Icinga, chosen for its scalability and built-in cluster mechanism using master and satellite zones. By implementing Icinga and later automating configuration with Icinga Director, q.beyond now efficiently monitors 9,000 host objects and 63,000 services. The results include an extremely stable and reliable monitoring environment that has streamlined operations and provided strategic flexibility for future growth.
