Pironet NDH, a provider of business cloud computing services, utilized the open-source monitoring solution Icinga to effectively scale their oversight of a large, critical infrastructure. Their challenge was to reliably monitor their extensive network of over 3,200 hosts and 15,000 services.

The solution implemented by Icinga provided a scalable and redundant monitoring system distributed across two data centers. This setup successfully tracks MPLS connections and servers, integrates with their ticketing system and an SMS gateway for alerts, and records vital performance data.
