The customer, PGE Narodowy, a stadium in Warsaw, Poland, was facing a significant challenge with its legacy Nagios server, which caused high delays in monitoring checks for its extensive IT infrastructure, including data centers, servers, and network devices. To overcome this performance issue, they turned to the vendor Icinga and its Icinga 2 monitoring solution.

By implementing a distributed Icinga 2 instance, Icinga provided a solution that was easy to manage, stable, and well-documented. This resulted in a monitoring system that is more predictable and performs without the previous delays. The solution efficiently monitors over 1,500 hosts and 2,500 services. An additional benefit noted was Icinga's fantastic mobile web interface, which further enhanced the system's usability for the IT team.
