Audi AG, a global automotive manufacturer, was seeking to replace its Tivoli monitoring system with a highly scalable, flexible, and highly available solution. The company needed a system capable of overseeing its extensive worldwide operations.

Icinga implemented a distributed monitoring solution using seven Icinga instances, consisting of a master with three slave satellite clusters, configured with the LConf add-on. This scalable system now monitors over 10,000 hosts and 50,000 services across Audi's four European production sites, providing a dynamic and customizable interface for control centre staff. The integration with CA Spectrum allows for effective central management of operations.
