Integrated Traceability is Key for FreeYumm’s Allergen-Free Snacks

FreeYumm, a maker of allergen-free and non-GMO kids’ snacks, needed a better way to manage complex traceability and supplier documentation across its allergen-free facility. Its manual paper-based process made it hard to track certifications, update records when suppliers changed, and produce audit-ready traceability trails on demand. FreeYumm turned to Icicle Technologies and its food safety traceability software to solve these challenges.

Icicle Technologies implemented an integrated system for traceability, vendor management, and inventory management, with hands-on customer support and phased onboarding to fit FreeYumm’s small team. The result was a smoother SQF audit and certification, faster reporting for auditors, and stronger visibility across operations. FreeYumm reported saving at least half an FTE, with the potential to save a full FTE as the business grows, while also reducing paper work and miscommunication.
