AkzoNobel, a global paint and coatings manufacturer operating in more than 150 countries, was struggling with fragmented contracting processes across regions and business units. Different templates, repositories, and tools made it hard to find agreements, assess risk, and maintain consistent legal processes. The company turned to Icertis and its Icertis Contract Intelligence platform to create a unified, enterprise-wide contracting foundation.

Icertis helped AkzoNobel standardize intake, drafting, approvals, and e-signatures; integrate with SAP, CRM, and Adobe Sign; and migrate and digitize large volumes of legacy contracts. As a result, all eight business units now use Icertis, about 90% of new commercial contracts are created and executed there, and new agreements are signed faster with improved compliance and lower legal review burden.
