Symbiosis launches a $13M blockchain library on Kotlin with IceRock

IceRock was engaged by Symbiosis, which needed to migrate a cryptocurrency library from React JS to a native mobile solution to improve performance on mobile devices. The challenge was to move away from a JavaScript-based library that required emulation on smartphones, a process that was slow and resource-intensive.

IceRock developed a custom open-source Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) library for crypto wallets, which eliminated the need for an emulator and executed instructions directly. This resulted in significantly faster performance and lower computational resource requirements. As a result, IceRock also built a showcase app to demonstrate the library, which supports 11 crypto networks and has a market value of USD 13M.
