SBI Bank launches family banking app in 9 months with IceRock

The customer, SBI Bank, a family-focused financial institution, needed to finalize its existing mobile application to allow clients full access to manage their accounts from their phones. A key challenge was adding parental control and reward functions for children's accounts. The vendor, IceRock, was tasked with developing this new functionality using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile for the Android application.

IceRock developed a gamification system for family account management, including features for parents to assign tasks with monetary rewards to their children. Over nine months, the vendor successfully integrated over 40 new modules into the complex application architecture. The solution enabled SBI Bank's clients to teach their children financial awareness through a fully-featured mobile app.
