Datana builds a digital assistant for metalworks facilities in 7 months with IceRock

The customer Datana, a metalworks facility, approached vendor IceRock to develop a Digital Assistant. The challenge was to create a system that could analyze real-time smelting data and recommend the minimum required amount of costly ferroalloys. This was necessary to ensure the final alloy complied with GOST standards while remaining economically viable, as manual processes were prone to error and inefficiency.

IceRock implemented a solution using a Kotlin Multiplatform microservice architecture to integrate the Digital Assistant with Datana's existing systems. The result was a real-time monitoring and recommendation system that significantly reduced the consumption of additives, energy, and the reject rate.
