PRMG, Inc., a Corona, California–based mortgage lender with 150 locations and roughly $6B in annual loan volume, needed to create a best‑in‑class broker experience. Their legacy broker portal was slow—document conversion made loan submissions take about 30 minutes—so PRMG sought a faster, more efficient digital workflow to keep brokers from going elsewhere.
PRMG implemented Encompass TPO Connect (and broker-specific Encompass Consumer Connect sites), using Secure Scripting, APIs and custom portal features like a disclosure request form and “portal buddy” to streamline submissions and document access. The result: broker submissions dropped from 30 minutes to 5 minutes (an 83% reduction), time to underwriting fell from ~1–2 days to about two hours, underwriter touches per file declined 96% while decisions per day rose 18%, underwriting overtime costs fell by ~$1M annually, wholesale cycle times decreased 31%, and wholesale volume materially increased.
