PrimeWest Mortgage, a community-focused lender in Lubbock, Texas with $600M in annual loan volume, needed to boost loan officer productivity and speed up borrower response and loan cycles. Field-based loan officers were forced to use laptops or wait until returning to the office to start applications, making prequalifications slow (30–60 minutes) and risking lost opportunities.
PrimeWest implemented Ellie Mae’s Encompass LO Connect™ (integrated with Consumer Connect®), a device-agnostic solution piloted with two tech-savvy loan officers and quickly rolled out companywide. The result: prequalifications now take 5–10 minutes on mobile devices, average time to close fell by seven days, online applications rose from 30% to 49%, the top producer’s volume increased 41%, and the company was 17% ahead of its production budget.
