OnPoint Community Credit Union, a Portland, Oregon–based lender with $3.4M in assets and $700M in annual loan volume, needed a lending solution to replace paper-based processes. The credit union sought a paperless, configurable loan origination system that would provide active reporting, integrated compliance checks, and visibility into the pipeline to manage growth and complex regulatory requirements.
OnPoint implemented Ellie Mae’s Encompass LOS, building customized workflows, forms, fields and reports and embedding compliance checks and alerts into the process. The result was higher efficiency and pipeline visibility, faster closings (regularly under 30 days), consistent real-time compliance, and the ability to handle a 25% increase in loan volume with only a 10% staff increase.
