Kantar WorldPanel, a global leader in continuous consumer panels, faced scalability and supportability problems in its OLAP layer: they needed a solution that could dynamically produce OLAP databases at scale, support existing Microsoft-based MDX queries powering thousands of dashboards, and run across multiple servers and instances of icCube. They required a proof of concept to replay a full load test across a broad sample of complex MDX queries to validate the approach.

icCube delivered a proof of concept and implemented its icCube OLAP solution (including the icCube IDE), proving it could handle dynamic cube production and heavy MDX query loads across multiple servers; the system was deployed to clients in May 2014 and has run without a single bug since. The deployment improved WorldPanelOnline performance, made report designers far more efficient at designing and troubleshooting dashboards, and benefited from responsive icCube support and consultancy on plugins and load-balancing.
