Pitney Bowes Quadruples Capacity with Eight ibml Scanners

Pitney Bowes Asterion, a document process outsourcing unit of the Pitney Bowes Group, faced a challenge with its existing scanning equipment as business grew. Their variety of small to mid-size scanners could not efficiently handle the increasing volume and variety of document types and sizes, which limited their ability to pursue larger deals and new market opportunities without significantly increasing operational costs and staff numbers.

The solution was the implementation of eight ibml ImageTrac scanners, which were selected for their high performance, reliability, and ease of use. This deployment by ibml allowed Pitney Bowes to quadruple its daily processing capacity to 1.5 million documents, significantly reduce operator numbers and maintenance costs, and successfully target new, large-scale contracts. The investment delivered a rapid financial return and provided even greater long-term value by enabling the company to seize new market opportunities and contribute to substantial business growth.
