YouCan helps online sellers get up and running fast with IBM Cloud

YouCan, a SaaS e-commerce platform focused on African markets, needed a scalable way to help online sellers quickly create storefronts without building their own infrastructure. The company partnered with IBM and used IBM Cloud services to host and grow its platform as demand increased.

IBM implemented IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, IBM Cloud Virtual Servers, and later IBM Cloud Virtual Server for Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with IBM Cloud Object Storage. The move gave YouCan more agility and scalability, helping it serve up to 5,000 requests per minute and support more than USD 300 million in sales since launch, including USD 200 million in 2021 alone.
