HFL Building Solutions, a UK facilities and building services company managing 400+ client sites and about 4,000 work orders per month, was struggling with paper logbooks and spreadsheet-based processes that caused delays, misfiled paperwork, and added risk. It turned to IBM Maximo, with support from MaxLogic, to create a more secure and sustainable way to manage work orders and supporting documents.

IBM, working with MaxLogic, implemented IBM Maximo Application Suite and Maximo Mobile to digitize logbooks, standardize workflows, and give engineers and clients real-time access to records. The result was a major operational improvement: HFL reduced open work orders from 200,000 to fewer than 20,000, cut open work orders by 95%, and gained better site-level insight into costs and profitability.
