A IBM Case Study
Resona Holdings, Inc. wanted to strengthen trust and transparency as it pursued its goal of becoming Japan’s leading retail bank, while also improving its defenses against money laundering and terrorist financing. To support its AML/CFT efforts and integrate with existing systems, Resona Holdings worked with IBM and its IBM Fusion HCI solution, alongside Red Hat OpenShift, to explore AI-based transaction monitoring.
IBM helped Resona Holdings implement a pre-integrated, container-ready infrastructure that could be deployed faster and managed with less effort. The result was improved compatibility across components, lower operational overhead, better resource optimization, and greater scalability for future expansion, while also enabling more secure identification of suspicious transactions and supporting ongoing application integration.
