The Italian aerospace manufacturer UmbraGroup faced a significant challenge in ensuring the resilience of its IT infrastructure and global supply chain. IBM implemented a cloud-based Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service solution for UmbraGroup, providing geographic redundancy and high availability without the need for costly in-house hardware or dedicated personnel. This allowed for a rapid, low-risk implementation and guaranteed system resumption within hours. The solution from IBM freed up internal IT resources, provided the necessary resiliency certification for its global clients, and enabled UmbraGroup to focus on its core manufacturing business.
