A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Union Bank, N.A Case Study

The bank's ECM strategy evolves over 18 years from imaging and workflow to case management

Union Bank, N.A. wanted to increase responsiveness and reduce costs by evolving its long-running ECM strategy to eliminate paper-intensive manual processes. Working with IBM and IBM Business Partner Pyramid Solutions, Inc., the bank sought to move from imaging and workflow toward more advanced case management using IBM FileNet content management solutions.

IBM helped Union Bank extend its existing IBM FileNet platform with IBM Case Manager software. The solution enabled business-driven use-case modeling and reuse, allowing process improvements to be deployed enterprise-wide more quickly; for example, updating a business process rule now takes three days instead of three months.
