The American University in Cairo faced data silos, inconsistent reporting, and manual processes that could take weeks, making it hard for leaders to access timely, reliable information. To create a single point of truth, AUC worked with IBM and selected IBM Cognos Analytics and IBM Db2 Data Warehouse on Cloud to support its new BI and analytics platform.
IBM implemented a centralized solution using Db2 Warehouse on Cloud as a data hub, IBM DataStage for integration, and Cognos Analytics for dashboards and visual analysis. As a result, AUC reduced data collection and reporting from weeks to minutes, eliminated much manual processing and human error, and improved decision-making with clearer, more trusted data.
