Telefónica Tech, a division of the Telefónica Group, needed a way to bring multiple public clouds, AI, blockchain, and legacy systems into one seamless environment so enterprise customers could innovate faster without managing complex underlying IT. To build its Cloud Garden managed platform, Telefónica Tech turned to IBM Cloud Pak solutions and Red Hat OpenShift.
IBM implemented a hybrid cloud foundation that lets Telefónica Tech develop and run services across public, private, and on-premises environments while keeping the developer experience consistent and portable. The result was faster time to market for customers, including a blockchain network serving 8,000 businesses across 52 industrial parks, and a broader platform that helps enterprises modernize applications and access cloud services more easily.
