A IBM Case Study
Global AgriBusiness, a large international agribusiness, wanted to accelerate growth while staying lean, but its expansion and acquisitions had left it with more than 100 isolated back-office systems. These legacy systems created inconsistent data, slowed decision-making, and made it hard for the company to manage finance, procurement, HR, and other processes efficiently. IBM Services was brought in to help modernize the environment with SAP solutions.
IBM Services implemented an integrated SAP transformation using SAP S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure, along with SAP Master Data Governance, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, and IBM’s Ascend and IMPACT methods. The project delivered a unified global data foundation, standardized processes, and enabled a global back-office template in less than eight months. Global AgriBusiness said the new approach would support world-leading digital capabilities for less than a third of the investment of its nearest competitor, while improving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
