UBM plc, a leading global B2B events organizer, was undergoing a major strategic transformation and preparing for a large acquisition. The business challenge was to effectively engage and align all of its global employees with the new future vision to avoid human capital flight. To address this, UBM worked with the vendor IBM and its IBM Kenexa Survey Enterprise platform.
The IBM solution involved creating a new, comprehensive employee engagement survey from the ground up. This was supported by a global communications plan translated into 11 languages. The implementation was a success, driving an 84% global survey participation rate and providing deep insights into employee perceptions. The results helped UBM align its entire business around new priorities and fostered greater transparency and collaboration across the organization.
