Bestway Cement Limited, one of Pakistan’s largest cement producers, struggled with poor data quality and slow, manual reporting across its multi-site operations. The company needed accurate, timely information to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower its environmental footprint, and turned to IBM for help with SAP S/4HANA on new infrastructure.

IBM implemented SAP S/4HANA on IBM Power Systems H922 servers and IBM FlashSystem 5000 storage, supported by IBM Lab Services. The result was real-time visibility across operations, support for 350 concurrent users, a 94% reduction in month-end close time from three weeks to one day, an 80% cut in physical servers, and major savings in power, cooling, floor space, and paper use.
