A IBM Case Study
Sypsoft, a Lima-based specialist in SAP Business One with growing operations in Chile and Ecuador, wanted to offer SAP Business One as a faster, lower-cost SaaS option to win new small and mid-sized customers without investing in its own data center. To provide the underlying infrastructure and local support it needed, Sypsoft selected IBM and the IBM Cloud Bare Metal platform.
IBM provisioned IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers (including a three-month free subscription) and migrated Sypsoft’s SAP Business One environments, enabling 350 users to be onboarded and cutting provisioning from two months to 24 hours (96% faster) and time-to-market for new cloud services from three months to five days (a 97% reduction). The move helped Sypsoft avoid about USD200,000 in hardware costs, surpass its annual growth target by 10%, improve uptime and performance, and benefit from local invoicing and joint marketing with IBM.
