Syntax, an IT managed services provider for manufacturers, needed to keep mission-critical SAP logistics systems available 24/7, where even minutes of downtime could disrupt just-in-time deliveries and create costly delays. To meet these demands, Syntax worked with IBM on a highly resilient private cloud platform for SAP, built on IBM Power Systems and SAP software.

IBM implemented an enterprise cloud solution using IBM Power Systems servers, PowerVM, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications to deliver high stability, scalability, and performance. The result was more than two years of 100% platform availability, support for over 200,000 business users across 510+ SAP systems, and real-time analytics across 4.5 TB of SAP HANA data, helping Syntax strengthen reliability and expand into new services like IoT.
