Stronger cloud security for a leading automaker

A major global automaker turned to IBM and Palo Alto Networks to strengthen security across its hybrid multi-cloud environment. The customer needed better control over a global cloud landscape and a way to quickly identify and remediate misconfigurations and potential vulnerabilities, so IBM Cybersecurity Services helped define requirements and assess the environment using Prisma Cloud.

IBM implemented a managed security service using Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud, integrating it with the automaker’s SIEM and ServiceNow tools and tailoring dashboards, reports, and remediation workflows to compliance needs. As a result, the automaker gained visibility across more than 70 cloud accounts and, in 2023, used IBM and Prisma Cloud to filter over 60,000 alerts down to about 7% requiring analysis, improving security and continuous compliance.
