Pentair, a global manufacturing company, faced the challenge of standardizing its fragmented HR processes and systems to support its growth, a need that became critical when it merged with Tyco Flow Control and doubled in size. To build a scalable foundation, Pentair partnered with IBM Global Business Services to implement a global HR solution based on Oracle PeopleSoft Human Capital Management software.

IBM assisted Pentair in designing and deploying a single, integrated PeopleSoft platform to consolidate and harmonize HR operations worldwide. The solution replaced hundreds of localized processes with a set of global standards, enabling efficient management for 30,000 employees. The results included a dramatic reduction from 800 to 34 core HR processes and from approximately 300 to just 24 recruiting processes, leading to better data, increased efficiency, and a scalable system for future growth.
