The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) needed to modernize its operations and drive greater transparency, requiring a system for more effective financial management and reporting under tight budgetary control. To address this challenge, ICAR partnered with IBM to implement a comprehensive IT-driven ERP solution.

IBM Global Business Services implemented an integrated Oracle E-Business Suite platform, supported by IBM Power Systems hardware and AIX software. The solution standardized and automated key processes across ICAR's 110 institutes, creating a centralized management system. As a result, IBM helped ICAR reduce duplication of effort, improve data accuracy for faster decision-making, and establish a robust foundation for greater operational transparency and control.
