Preview of the State Government Agency Case Study

State Government Agency - Customer Case Study

State Government Agency, which provides services and supports for nearly 18,500 people with disabilities across 130 sites, faced fragmented information systems that forced clients to complete multiple applications and assessments and prevented real‑time matching of needs to services. To address this, the agency engaged IBM and implemented IBM Cúram software (IBM Cúram Social Program Management Platform, IBM Cúram Financial Management and IBM Cúram Provider Management).

IBM implemented a consolidated Cúram-based platform to provide a single point of access, standardized rule‑based eligibility, a unified provider catalog and more efficient payment administration. As a result, the State Government Agency now delivers simplified, personalized intake, automated eligibility determinations and benefit issuance, improved information and reporting, and more equitable use of funding—improving service quality and planning for its nearly 18,500 clients statewide.
