ICBC Argentina faced the challenge of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting in a highly complex banking environment marked by inflation, currency volatility, and strict government requirements. The team had been managing more than 100 linked spreadsheets manually, which created errors, delays, and long work hours. IBM Planning Analytics, implemented with KMG Analytics, was introduced to help streamline these processes.

IBM deployed IBM Planning Analytics to unify data on a single platform with an Excel-friendly interface, automate planning and scenario analysis, and support stress tests and other reporting needs. The results were significant: “what if” scenarios dropped from two days to seconds, and bank stress test reporting time was cut from four weeks to two weeks, a 50% reduction. ICBC Argentina also gained more time for higher-value analysis and improved confidence in its data.
