Case Study: Boydak Holding achieves up to 120x faster SAP reporting with IBM Power Systems

Boydak Holding, a Turkish conglomerate running mission-critical SAP ERP systems for more than 3,000 users, needed to stay on the vendor’s standard support path while improving performance for business reporting. The company turned to IBM and SAP HANA on IBM Power System E870 servers to modernize its core ERP environment and support future migration to SAP S/4HANA.

IBM implemented SAP HANA on Boydak Holding’s existing IBM Power Systems using a tailored datacenter integration approach, with virtualization and high-availability replication across two data centers. The results were strong: report generation became up to 120 times faster, some reports dropped from 10 minutes to 5 seconds, and database size was cut by 74% from 1.78 TB to 0.46 TB, helping improve productivity, speed backups, and reduce storage costs.
