Spark NZ, New Zealand’s largest telecom carrier, was in the middle of a digital transformation and needed better network performance management to improve customer experience, automate operations, and support growth. Its patchwork of legacy tools provided incomplete data, limited visibility, and couldn’t scale with the business, so Spark NZ turned to IBM SevOne NPM.
IBM implemented IBM SevOne NPM to deliver end-to-end, real-time visibility and more complete data collection across Spark NZ’s network. The solution is monitoring more than 385,000 objects in the core network and over 20,000 in the Global Internet network, while Spark NZ is on track to consolidate five tools into one. The move has reduced OpEx and CapEx, improved reporting and dashboards, and increased user acceptance across teams.
