Software AG adopts IBM Z® Multi-Factor Authentication to protect the development of Adabas & Natural

Software AG, the developer of Adabas & Natural, needed to secure access for about 100 mainframe developers working on its IBM zSystems environment while maintaining productivity and compliance. To strengthen protection for its mission-critical development systems and support long-term customer commitments, Software AG chose IBM Z Multi-Factor Authentication from IBM.

IBM implemented IBM Z Multi-Factor Authentication alongside a broader mainframe security strategy, with help from IBM Lab and an IBM Mainframe Security Workshop to plan and test the rollout. The result was more secure, phased access management with less disruption to developers, improved confidence in the protection of core products, and faster, safer delivery of updates to Software AG’s enterprise customers.
