A IBM Case Study
Socar Turkey Enerji A.S. faced growing complexity as its portfolio expanded to 13 subsidiaries, making it difficult to monitor operations and manage documents across disconnected platforms. To create a single, accurate view of documents and systems, Socar chose IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, working with IBM and IBM Business Partner AKSIS to unify content and process management.
IBM implemented automated, digitized workflows for correspondence, contracts, and engineering documents, helping Socar centralize document management from creation to archiving while improving compliance and access control. The results were significant: more than 14,000 processes automated, about 500,000 documents migrated, cycle times reduced 20%–40%, productivity up 20%–30%, client satisfaction up 30%–50%, and annual savings of about USD 300,000, with a carbon footprint reduction of 8,028 kg of CO2.
