A IBM Case Study
Nowy Styl, a fast-growing European furniture manufacturer, needed to improve the performance, security, and scalability of its hybrid IT infrastructure as acquisitions and business growth put pressure on its legacy systems. The company worked with IBM to address slow Oracle Database processing, storage bottlenecks, and security gaps, using IBM LinuxONE and IBM FlashSystem as part of the modernization effort.
IBM implemented a consolidation of Oracle Database and IFS ERP workloads onto IBM LinuxONE Rockhopper II with IBM FlashSystem storage, supported by IBM Systems Lab Services, IBM Business Partner UpWare, and IBM Global Financing. The results included an average 450% increase in key processing speeds, faster reporting, stronger data encryption and security, a smaller infrastructure footprint, and more flexibility for future growth without increasing software license costs.
