Circeo, a Budapest-based lending software company founded in 2014, set out to help banks approve and fund loans quickly without paperwork or branch visits. As its SaaS model launched, the company needed a secure, scalable cloud foundation that would win trust from financial institutions and meet European data and compliance expectations, so it turned to IBM for support.

IBM implemented IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers and Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud to give Circeo a secure, cloud-native platform with strong scalability. The result was rapid growth for TheLoanFactory: Circeo expanded from a few loans a day to thousands of applications and accounts daily across seven European countries, processed 500,000 loans in 2019, and enabled partner banks to reschedule loans within hours during COVID-19 instead of months.
