Saving energy with new insights into sustainability performance

BanFast Förvaltning AB (BanFast), a Stockholm-based real estate manager, needed to modernize and automate its sustainability reporting to gain deeper insights, eliminate duplicate work, and prepare for EU CSRD requirements. Using IBM Envizi as a cloud, AI-enabled analytics and reporting platform (managed and optimized by Edsvärd Hållbarhet), BanFast automated ESG data collection, created customizable dashboards, and aligned reporting with ESRS/CSRD frameworks. IBM’s Envizi helped the firm predict a 50% reduction in energy use across its portfolio, enabled a plan to double managed properties with only marginal staff increases (2x growth), sped up reporting (improving productivity and ROI), and positioned BanFast to access cheaper green financing.
