R+V Versicherung AG standardizes premium collection

R+V Versicherung AG, a leading German insurance provider, faced challenges due to its complex and fragmented landscape of customized premium collection applications. This complexity hindered its ability to respond to market changes and new regulations. To build a more efficient, standardized system, the company partnered with vendor IBM and its IBM Global Business Services team to implement a solution centered on SAP for Insurance Collections and Disbursements (SAP FS-CD).

With help from IBM, R+V successfully implemented and migrated its operations to the integrated SAP FS-CD solution. This allowed the company to automate processes and centralize data, which saved approximately €12 million in operational costs annually and enabled the reassignment of 60 full-time employees to more productive work. The solution also increased premium collection rates by around €12 million and provided the flexibility to react more quickly to future regulatory requirements.
