Flex IT, a Netherlands-based distributor of circular IT hardware, needed to overhaul its commerce solution and automate marketing as part of an ambitious sustainability-led growth plan. Its first implementation partner ran into major issues, leaving the project stalled and forcing Flex IT to seek a new vendor. Flex IT chose IBM, through Waeg, an IBM Company, to help deliver a B2B commerce platform and marketing capabilities.

IBM and Waeg reimplemented the B2B Commerce platform from the ground up and integrated Salesforce Marketing Cloud, adding features such as multilingual support, improved search, eco-score visibility, and prepayment options. The new webshop launched in June 2023 and reduced customer onboarding time from one week to 24 hours, while strengthening sales, sustainability messaging, and operational efficiency for Flex IT.
