Case Study: VPI achieves more reliable, efficient energy operations with IBM Maximo

A IBM Case Study

Reliable, sustainable, renewable—energy that works

VPI, a UK energy company operating combined cycle gas turbine power plants, needed a way to improve reliability, safety, and maintenance efficiency across newly acquired sites as it supported the country’s move toward net zero. To manage around 60,000 assets and keep plants ready for highly variable demand, VPI turned to IBM Maximo software with help from IBM Business Partner MaxLogic.

IBM implemented the IBM Maximo Application Suite as a centralized platform for asset, maintenance, safety, compliance, and uptime management, and integrated it with NiSoft Eclipse for safety controls. As a result, VPI reduced administrative burden, improved staff productivity, increased real-time visibility, and strengthened maintenance compliance and workplace safety across its plants.
