Case Study: BCS Group reduces security risk and improves security posture with IBM Security Penetration Testing

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the BCS Group Case Study

Reducing security risk by proactively identifying vulnerabilities with penetration testing

BCS Group, an Italian manufacturer of agricultural and greens maintenance machinery (brands include BCS, FERRARI, PASQUALI and MOSA), wanted to understand and fix security exposures in its network and applications amid rising cyberattacks. To address this, BCS engaged IBM’s services—specifically IBM Security Services – Penetration Testing, delivered with IBM Business Partner NAIS—to identify vulnerabilities before they could be exploited.

IBM’s “white hat” penetration testers used real-world hacker tools and techniques in a week-long, multi-level probe of BCS’s network, servers and PCs, then delivered a detailed, prioritized remediation report. By acting on IBM’s recommendations, BCS implemented fixes that measurably improved its security posture, reducing the risk of avoidable cyberattacks and closing critical vulnerabilities.
