Coop Estense, a retail company selling food and non-food items, needed to automate endpoint compliance (including PCI DSS requirements) without adding management burden for IT staff. To address this, Coop Estense selected IBM and its IBM BigFix solution to replace a patchwork of existing tools.

IBM implemented BigFix across roughly 2,500 endpoints, rapidly deploying agents and bringing the environment into compliance in about a week. The IBM BigFix rollout consolidated antivirus, patch management, remote control and other functions, noticeably reduced resolution times for intrusions and infections, provided 360-degree coverage of the IT infrastructure, and delivered clear ROI by lowering the combined cost of the previous point products.
