Cochlear, a global leader in implantable hearing solutions, needed to consolidate its rapidly growing international web presence to improve consistency, user experience, and compliance across country sites. The company worked with IBM and its business partner GLiNTECH, using IBM Web Content Manager, to replace a patchwork of roughly 75 websites managed across different platforms and teams.
IBM and GLiNTECH implemented a centralized, multilingual web and content management platform that supported local legal requirements and gave Cochlear a single, scalable online strategy. The result was a consolidation from 75 websites to 20, improved control of country-specific content, and a 15% increase in web traffic, while also reducing costs and speeding up global site launches.
