A IBM Case Study
Raise Green, a climate fintech startup, wanted to make it easier for everyday people to create and finance community solar projects, but launching these projects was slow, complex, and heavily regulated. Prior to working with IBM, its first pilot took 10 months to develop, creating a need for a faster, more accessible way to bring clean-energy projects to market.
IBM helped Raise Green co-create the Originator Engine on IBM Cloud using IBM Garage, IBM iX, and Red Hat OpenShift. The platform streamlined project creation and financing, reducing launch time by 75% from 10 months to 10 weeks; IBM and Raise Green also delivered a proof of concept in just eight weeks and launched the MVP four months later, with the solution winning an IDC Future of Digital Innovation Award.
