Q8 Italia leads an enterprise-wide move to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration

Q8 Italia, the Italian branch of Kuwait Petroleum International, needed a more standardized and secure way to manage integrations and APIs across its business units as it expanded digital services and prepared for future containerization. The company had already been using an IBM integration product, and turned to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration to support its broader API strategy.

IBM implemented IBM Cloud Pak for Integration with IBM DataPower Gateway, creating a single platform for Q8 Italia, Q8 Northwest Europe, and Kuwait Petroleum International. The solution enabled three separate API catalogs, improved security and validation for B2B and B2C services, and helped Q8 Italia move ahead with digital payments and mobile app initiatives. By extending licensing across all three organizations, IBM also helped Q8 Italia achieve cost savings, using only 20% more licensing to support the expanded deployment.
