ESC Consulting, an Italian IT services provider, needed a way to expand its capabilities for clients while lowering infrastructure costs and reducing the burden of managing complex legacy systems. Working with IBM, it set out to move client SAP and related applications to the cloud, using IBM Cloud and IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers to support ERP, integration, and mobile app development.

IBM implemented a cloud-based SAP ERP environment with integrated third-party applications and a mobile app that automated supply and production tracking in real time. The result was faster decision-making, quicker and more streamlined processes, easier development of customized apps, and significant cost savings through a pay-per-use model, while helping ESC Consulting reduce capital costs and scale capacity as needed.
