A IBM Case Study
The Israel Tax Authority (ITA) needed to strengthen the resiliency of its storage infrastructure as transaction volumes rose to 8 million per day and cyberthreats became more sophisticated. Working with IBM and IBM Storage DS8910F, the agency aimed to replace aging spinning-disk arrays and improve its ability to protect sensitive citizen and tax data.
IBM helped the ITA deploy IBM Storage DS8910F all-flash systems and use IBM Spectrum Virtualize Safeguarded Copy to create air-gapped, immutable copies of transaction data. The upgrade improved performance, reduced energy and cooling costs, added capacity without expanding the data center footprint, and enabled recovery of production data in less than 15 minutes in testing, helping minimize downtime if systems fail or are attacked.
