A IBM Case Study
KPJ Healthcare Berhad, a private healthcare provider operating hospitals in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, faced challenges with its costly and siloed server and storage technology. This infrastructure hindered clinical decision-making and business processes by making data access difficult across its geographically dispersed locations.
IBM implemented a private cloud solution using IBM PureFlex System, IBM Storwize V7000 Unified storage, and IBM Service Delivery Manager software. This new infrastructure reduced infrastructure provisioning time from months to 48 hours and significantly improved data recovery, cutting the recovery point objective by 95 percent. The solution provided KPJ with real-time data access, greater efficiency, and the ability to deliver better patient services.
