PRISA, one of the world’s leading Spanish‑language media groups serving 236 million unique browsers across 24 countries, faced the challenge of managing performance across hundreds of cloud‑native and legacy systems where even a one‑second delay impacts user experience. Despite multiple monitoring tools, PRISA lacked end‑to‑end visibility into applications, infrastructure and service dependencies, so it engaged IBM’s Observability by Instana (Instana) to gain unified observability and faster troubleshooting.

Working with Hopla! Software, IBM deployed Instana’s single‑agent, automatic discovery platform to visualize dynamic services in real time and speed root‑cause identification. The Instana implementation let PRISA resolve application issues before they affected customers, optimize costs (pricing indexed to infrastructure rather than traffic), free engineering resources for innovation, and improve overall performance, reliability and cost optimization using IBM’s Instana solution.
